Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple

I want to know about the company culture. Are people encouraged to speak up or keep in line? How is conflict handled?
I've heard it suggested that you should always ask what happened with the last person to hold the position. Were they promoted internally, or did they leave the organization? It's a good question, but it might be awkward to inject it into the conversation, depending on how things are going.
I like to ask "How has the team changed over the past year?" and "What tends to be the most common reason people leave this role or team?", and always ask follow-up questions depending on what they say.
One of my favorites to ask is what qualities and characteristics do you notice in an employee/candidate that tend to excel in this role? It usually gives you super valuable insight into what the company is looking for. Or it stumps the interviewer lol. I've had it go both ways.
