Strategist 1 I really can’t imagine how you didn’t get through our recruiter, what with all that charm
Pdx was gracious and wrote me back immediately. NYC ghosted me completely. Siblings, not twins
@strategist1 imagine someone wanting to know where you studied, and then asking to see some of your work. Crazy!
The NY recruiter has a pretty awful reputation ☝️
From someone who’s worked at both, totally different
The NY recruiter gets way too many emails to respond to everyone. It’s not a secret everyone wants to work at Wieden
NY recruiter asked me what college I went to (11 years after graduation) what dot com she can look at to see my work. Cool.
I haven’t worked on the PDX office but I love it here in NYC.
Comparable to the differences between the culture of both cities. One more humane than the other.
Based in PDX. Have done project work out of NYC several times. Always enjoyed it and found it easy to work at either
A recruiter should probably know that clientname.com is not where my portfolio would be (work samples were provided). And actual work experience is more important to discuss than grilling me about the college I graduated from a decade ago. But what do I know!
@OP I can’t really. Had a good friend who did both and liked both but the vibe was totally different. I assumed it was mostly because people in NYC and people in PDX work totally different.
Copywriter 1: we were in an email exchange before she dropped. She had replied.
@SC1 elaborate please
W+K 3 I hope you’ve put the same useless snark energy into nagging your friends to vote
