Is that even legal?! Sounds like you should read up on discrimination laws, but it could be OK depending on the context. Its important me to work somewhere that supports modern living lol so I may be the one asking about expectations around arrival and departure as well as being able to work from home when necessary.
It’s definitely illegal to ask. Here’s an article that can help you or anyone else who has encountered this http://work.chron.com/illegal-ask-kids-interview-17872.html
None. That’s illegal.
Recently interviewing, a young woman told me in her interview after telling me she was married ,“ But don’t worry we don’t want to have kids.” I stopped the interview and told her that I was a mom and that was none of my business. I advised her woman to woman she should never tell anyone that in an interview. What if a year from now she changes her mind after getting the job? Which is very normal. That it is illegal for anyone to ask that and she should never feel obligated to share that. I also told her if she got this job and got pregnant we would deal and celebrate for her. She said she had felt pressure to say that since she was young and newly married. Sorry but what the ...? Please tell me this is not others normal?
Wow that’s so so sad. I’m glad you said something to her!
