How much hike % this year
Hello Sharks, Hope all are doing good,
I am a associate java developer having knowledge and experience on Java, Spring mvc, Spring boot, Hibernate, MySQL. Recently I have joined another IT company. The surprising thing is they are providing training on Scala Programming language .I don't have any knowledge about Scala Programming, Slick and Postgresql. Is Scala developer having good future and demand. Can I better to try for other company to stay in java technology only. EY Infosys Cognizant

I’m currently in the LA area, I’m planning to stay but I’m open to relocating either SF or Boston as well. If any can connect to their Recuritment or Talent Acquisition Team or any references, information or connections! Let me know!

For me right now is >=30%
That would be a nice bump.
It does depend if this is a company that I really admire and strongly agree with their vision as opposed to just a company offering more pay. However, in general at least a 10% pay increase would be enough for me to consider it.
10-15% but it could also be a mix of other attributes as well, e.g., title, responsibilities, fringe benefits, more interesting work and upside on career oppts
I don’t get out of bed for less than 20%
Pretty much how I feel at this point.
I think of it as a measurement of time. If i believe that i can get to the offered salary within 18 months, its not worth leaving.
At least 30% but would only deal with suffering for 50%+ (I work in PE)
Yeah I would say I am in this same ballpark especially for the 50% IB.
At least 20%, though it does somewhat depend on other factors. Benefits, workplace culture, if the job interests me more etc.
I agree there are some benefits that play heavily into the decision.
