Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
How much medical coverage should one have?
Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?

I haven't heard of line attorneys coming in at step 10. Most new hires are brought in at step 1 (and with GS grade based on years of experience, GS-11 for those straight out of law school, through GS-15 for those with four or more years of post-JD experience). In some cases, there may be a modest one- or two-step bump for highly desirable candidates coming out of big law practice.
Most biglaw attorneys that come to government, in my experience, aren't worth paying a lot more for. Typically it's associates who are being shown the door or specifically want the WLB, and bring maybe 2-10 years of experience, and most of it under a whole hierarchy of other lawyers, basically GS11-13 level work, maybe 14 for a senior associate
