Don’t take everything personally. And believe you me. I took it personally. But after a few weeks of moping I tried to put it in perspective and it has changed my mindset.

Don’t let perfect get in the way of done, but understand when perfect is needed.
“You interrupt people a lot and I think you do it to assert power”. Hurt coming from an employee I really liked and had a good relationship with, so I did think on it a lot. She talked a lot (always in the weeds) but on reflection I realized I did interrupt people because I’m often trying to move fast - not to be a jerk like she thought but it bothered me if someone thought that about me. So I made a real effort to try to find other ways to move conversation along.
I do this a lot too without even noticing it. Whenever I’m having a conversation with someone my mind is always racing and interrupting them with questions or side stories. Any tips on how you overcame your hurdles?

Be willing to ask for help.
“You are a rockstar. I can already tell you are going to burn out and quit within a year with the workload you’ve taken into yourself. it isn’t sustainable. Pull back a bit ”
I am doing this since 5 years. I pull back the days I feel am tired but I make sure it happens 5-6 days a week.
No matter how hard a night out you had, the next day, you always answer the bell
Don’t sweat the small stuff. And it’s all small stuff.
You can’t change other people. You can only change yourself.
It wasn’t feedback per se, but it is a super common trope that always keeps me in check, especially when I feel like I’m about to unnecessarily “drop knowledge” on someone who could care less.

Don't worry about setting up your new cubicle too much, you won't need it for long.
It doesn't matter that it's not true. People believe it's true. Stop fighting every piece of petty bullshit and work on building your own reputation.
Don't worry, you will land on your feet 🙄.
Got asked ones if I was dyslexic... made me double check my work more..
Hoping this was written ironically
During an internship the summer before my junior year the owner of the company asked me what I job I wanted to get with an international business degree. Sent me into a panic and I spent the entire summer talking to peers and others trying to figure out what I was going to do. I ended up changing my major to Computer Information Systems and had to take extra classes/summer classes to graduate on time but it was well worth it! I have student loans so job security was critical and CIS majors at my school had 100% job placement within 6 months of graduating, that’s all I needed to know!
I was told I need to be more brief
- It has helped me be more clear and to the point when communicating with leadership
- But I also realized that most “leaders” are pretty mediocre and make very surface level decisions
Most leaders are poor listeners. Others listen to confirm their assumptions but not for new insights.
“Is this... *places research I’d been doing for three months on desk* ... really the best that you can do?”
