I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

I’ve never done this but you can negotiate more paid time off days or tuition for a class you want to take
You can negotiate for money equivalents (a signing bonus, relo, PTO, parking, shares, corporate car, corporate housing, six month or twelve month performance bonus, tuition assistance, 401k matching) or for non-monetary incentives (accounts you want to work on, flex time, WFH, title, pretty much anything you want that is at all related to work... bringing your dog?). If you are going to get a bonus or relo package, etc. remember the taxes when you calculate the cost and be careful of the strings attached.
Extra PTO, Flex hours/ability to work from home set days/hours each week.
absolutely - anything is negotiable. PTO is the most common because it has little impact on a company’s bottom line [unless you leave and they have to pay out].
Most agencies start their employees at 2-3 weeks, and if you’ve been around for a while you’re probably coming from 3-5 weeks and should be able to negotiate to match your current PTO.
It's an agreement of two parties... Just because you applied doesn't mean they don't have to agree to what your terms of employment are. This isn't slavery.
Free parking, free cell phone, flex work arrangements, new/better laptop and other tech accessories, higher relocation bonus
I've been able to get one company to add PTO, another added a bonus percentage. Relocation fees, if you're moving. a friend of mine negotiated having specific weeks off each year in lieu of a higher salary. there's sometimes a signing bonus.
It comes down to how valuable those extras are to you, how much you want the job and how much they want you. Negotiating extras is no different than negotiating salary (bearing in mind the actual monetary cost to the company, e.g. education/training is likely a tax write-off for them).
I've given up PTO days for extra salary (company would not budge from PTO policy), a higher base salary and lower location bonus (moving to NYC; overall compensation remained the same, just if they moved me back home it'd cost them more), designation as office lead for the discipline...
Stocks
PTO
Extra corporate housing, if you’re moving.
SC1 this might be a dumb question but can you negotiate those things if you applied to a job rather than being recruited?
I accepted an offer that my recruiter (3rd party) told me the hiring company would not negotiate on... But I'm wondering if that was B.S. and if they would have passed on me if I did not accept the original offer. Anyone have any experience with or thoughts on this?
I’ve had recruiters tell me that as well - that they get the agency to put up their best and final offer to cut down the negotiations. they offer 80, you ask for 100, they counter with 90 and say “it’s our final offer”. they could just offer you $90 and say “this is our final offer, take it or leave it”.
