What is the TC breakdown for Google L5 Program Manager (base, bonus %, RSU & vesting schedule)? Google also offers refresher RSU grants (dependent on performance) - not as generous as the new hire RSU grant, but additional comp nonetheless.
I’m ex-Google and my estimate for a L5 Program Manager outside Bay Area (since you stated lower COL) is $150K base + 15% bonus (so $23K) + new hire RSU grant of $100K vesting over 4 yrs (so $25K) for Yr1 TC of $198K.
A little higher, all in around 230-240

I'd go with Google.

Avoid cisco like the plague
Either company good for the resume but google has more growth plans and more variety on the consumer side. I would personally go to google but sounds like you went to Cisco. Make the best of it
What’s the career path as a program manager? Their JDs often sound like a glorified project manager and I’m not sure what that would look like 5-10 years down the line. I’m just curious.

Folks usually switch roles within G every 2 years. PGM opens a lot of opportunities to move similar to consulting. There are some senior folks who end up managing teams for pgms.
Google for sure. I've been stationed at both cisco and google as a consultant and g is way better
If PM is your end goal, Google is a no brainer. Made a similar move myself and the number of people making lateral moves within Google is insane. Additionally, at your legacy tech company, I doubt you’ll manage a p&l anytime soon since your still months away from the manager level
