Applied to Deloitte for a SC position & was told by HR that I was aiming too high so she had me interview for a Consultant position instead. Received an offer, she asked what salary I wanted & I said $100k based off the averages I saw online, she quickly agreed. Today was my first day & I saw that in the system they have me as a SC which has an average of $120k so now I’m not sure if there’s an error or if I got finessed out of $20k 😭 is it worth it to ask HR about/any tips on how to go about it
What is everyone's company standard salary increase for promotion? Found out today mine is 12% and anything higher must be approved by a VP.
If offered L4 at google and e5 at FB, non tech roles, which one would you take? FB base is 40k higher, other comp comparable.
If you plan to leave your firm and your manager asks you why you're leaving, what do you say? I have a legitimate non-bridge-burning reason unrelated to comp or simply "big tech is better" reason. I have asked for more client facing exposure and haven't gotten it cause weird reasons, which was the factor that caused me to look for exits in the first place. But I'm not sure if I should bring this up. Should I just be vague and say "looking for a new chapter"?
What's the average salary for a SEM search/paid social manager/sup at a big agency vs small agency?(Location: LA). And pay better on the client side? Looking to move to Los Angeles.

I had milestone in 2020 & 2021 C to SC. Both yrs good ratings, 6/6 ONL flags, Coach's F/b in iRPM - 'xyz is working on next level since last 2 yrs'. Strong support frm Project, 2 Awards. Still NO PROMOTION Talent f/b to coach - 'Scatterplot cut off didn't meet, can do better next yr' MD called today - 'You are doing good work, want to reward you 1.5L bonus with 12 month retention policy' I said - 'I am 100% sure I would be returning it if I accept, hence I decline this' Wats his next step?
Any idea about potential Facebook/WhatsApp Program Manager salary? (YOE 12 year with 5 years of consulting experience)
If you hand in your two weeks exactly two weeks prior to a bonus payout, does that mean you still get your bonus on your last day? How common is this in consulting?
My band is BPO 1 & joined TCS in March 2020. I'm currently working as an analyst in a UK based IT service desk project (retail, CBO). my joining CTC was 5LPA & current is 5.6LPA. I got a B band in annual appraisal and wish to continue committing and contributing in the same way, infact more. Wanted to know whether I could grow career wise in the current setting even if I maintain good performance and ratings? Where can I logically see myself in the next 5 years? Both position wise & salary wise?
Hi everyone, Could you please suggest some ideas about negotiating atleast a market standard salary for 4.3 YOE UI Developer when the current salary is below standard. Thanks in advance.
Time for a change, so what happens next? 4 years consulting. (commercial & federal), clearance, current salary low $60k. Not sure if it’s time to change firms or get out of consulting altogether?

If your firm agreed to match the salary/benefits you would get if you accepted another offer, would you stay? What would the downsides be (other than the typical b4 hours)?
Should I reach out to the recruiter for the final offer? I got an email from recruiter last week saying they would like to initiate the offer process and asked my salary expectation. I replied with my answers but haven’t heard back since then. Should I reach out? Or that might impact my negotiating position for pay.
Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).
I’m an Analytics Consultant looking for industry roles as a data analyst/BI Developer. I’ve had a few recruiters and job postings ask directly for a dashboard sample. I obviously can’t give them anything I’ve worked on because of client’s proprietary data and NDAs. Has anyone run into this problem before? Did you end up making a dashboard with public data solely for industry interviews?
Is everyone burnt out at this point?
Strategy folks - how do you get good at … strategy? Recently started at a startup in a role where I’m the only person under the head of our product team who handles the strategy-focus of the company. He wants me to take more ownership from him and I want to crush it but have no relevant experience here and am still fairly junior. Any books or classes? Or is it just trial by fire.
Is it possible to renegotiate base after accepting an offer? I recently accepted the first offer of 120k for a corp dev position and I feel like I left some money on the table.
I’ve had some extra bandwidth lately that I’d love to fill with an interesting side hustle (15-20 hours per week) Anyone have a paid opportunity that wouldn’t be a conflict for a consulting firm serving mostly federal clients? 7 YOE | MBA | Strategy & Data Viz specialities

Which consulting firms treat undergrad interns the best? like most swag, free perks, social events etc etc. Are any on par with tech companies?
Scared about going back to the office and flying for work. I was fine pre covid, but I recently developed sebhorreic dermatitis and I’m a month and half into treatment and I still have no control of it. I’m scared I won’t have it taken care of considering I’m constantly switching shampoos for it. My number one fear is having a flare up at work. This condition has also affected my performance working from home. I have no clue how I will handle in person. Considering quitting because of this
