What’s the best benefit at your firm?

Is anyone willing to share if your firm offers egg freezing without a fertility diagnosis as a benefit? We are trying to expand our benefits and would love to be able to say that others in the industry are already doing this. Thanks!

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…

During open enrollment the only benefit I set up was a health savings account. Now I’m planning to start at a new firm in January. Can I cancel my hsa at EY by inputting life event like changing employment?

I have several weeks of unused vacation still - will / can my firm force me to use my vacation time during my two week notice period? How to handle working with someone who frustrates you immensely? I work with someone who is one level above me hierarchically and is an ultimate micromanager (not one agenda or recap can be without edits) and is rude about establishing that they have dominance. The more senior leaders on the team are awesome and so is the client. It’s this one coworker who just got promoted and is now stepping on me constantly. Thanks!

So, I've tried a few different positions and still hate practicing law BUT I was approached about a contract role that won't have billable hour requirements and I won't be steeped (I think) into the law firm's toxicity, so I'm wondering if it could be the closest thing to a 9 to 5 for law. Pay is hourly which seems weird, but I would have time to devote to hobbies and life generally. Has anyone been tempted by or accepted these contract opportunities, and what's your hot take?
