What’s the best thing you’ve seen at a wedding to make it more fun?? I want to have a LIT wedding. Thanks!! (Also unique seating chart ideas are welcome).

A KICK ASS DJ!!!! Seriously. You don’t just want someone with a premixed playlist pushing buttons. Invest in someone whose passionate and experienced at reading the crowd, building and maintaining the momentum and energy of your event, and who can adjust in real-time to the preferences and feedback from the crowd.

I’ve been to too many weddings with DJs who were robotic and lame and barely engaged with the guests. A Bad DJ will 100000% kill the event

Associate 1- My sister in law had a kick ass DJ that travelled down from Brooklyn to Philly for her wedding a few years back. I’m happy to ask her for his contact info for ya!

Tbh the weddings I've gone to that were the least traditional were the most fun. Go off script a bit

Lots of booze. Champagne in particular. Sliders late night

Oh yes! This is the best thing! Just avoid pools if you are outdoors.

Hmm. Doesn't really work all the time. But if you have active and outgoing guests, then this would be perfect.

A raw bar that was a circular table probably 30 feet in diameter. 🔥

That sounds seriuosly amazing.

Live band. Late night snack. Cigar bar. For our seating chart, we had each table be the name of a band/artist with a CD of that band on the table to help guests locate their table. Then we had one big record with the band/table names and guests underneath.

Live band with brass or a DJ with a sax

Following 👀

Photo booth, open bar, fun music that takes guest recommendations

Honestly, the most fun wedding we went to was very minimalist but their band was so fun

Same here actually. The band always makes the night better. You can jam with them or dance.

I think the emcee has the biggest contributing factor. At least based on my experience. A good emcee can carry the entire event in a fun and memorable way.

A photo booth and a live band. You're pretty much set for the entire night if you have a live band. Good luck, OP!

I’m excited for my wedding but it’s almost 9 months away and I started planning it over a year ago. However, whenever I’m around friends/family it’s the only thing people want to talk to me about. I work full time & I’m in school right now so I’m stressed about those things and I don’t know how to communicate that I’d just rather not talk about the wedding without sounding ungrateful/happy

So my fiancé and I are having a microwedding in Rocky Mountain National Park next year, and we’re working with an elopement planner.
She sent over a sample ceremony (intro, sweet poems + passages to be read, and example vows), and we read through it last night. I was reading it out loud while my fiancé made dinner, and it just hit me that this is really happening. I’m just really happy that I found someone who is willing to take a vow to spend his life with me and I’m so excited for that day :)
