What’s the best way to compare lots of data with time stamps? I.e. you’re trying to evaluate the time different steps in a process take for multiple line items (10000 rows)

Current approach I’m doing is to subtract the times (in hh.mm.ss) from each other to get the duration of each step. Not sure if there’s an excel time stamp function that would make this easier. It’s not working well for times that were late PM and bleed into early next day AM.

You can use TIMEVALUE to convert to excel decimal values, and then substract those. And you can use TEXT to convert back to a hh:mm format. =TEXT(TIMEVALUE(A2) - TIMEVALUE(B2), ”hh:mm”)

helpful

Try converting the time stamps into Unix so then you don’t have to worry about the bleeding between two days. If you google, “convert time stamps into Unix” you will see functions you can easily copy & paste

I am a traditional reservist so I never really used military benefits before, but could use advice here.

I am currently renting and my lease is not up until October 2021, however I found a good deal on a home and scheduled to close in June 2021.

My landlord will not work with me to end the lease early, so it looks like I will have to double up on rent and mortgage through the summer.

If I went on active duty orders, can I use those orders to break my lease early without penalty?

Need help building an electric schedule for a production schedule with a Gantt chart style view (sort of)

Currently have an excel list with resource (production line), start date and time, and then also the name of the item being produced.

Any ideas how to tackle this??

I’m thinking a stacked bar chart with the vertical categories to be my resources and horizontal the date/time and then each individual bar to be the name of the item being produced.

Any suggestions for a formula to calculate a running count of the number of incidences in a list? For example, in a list with A, B, C, B; I want to label A = 1, then the first B =1, and first C = 1, and then the second B = 2, etc. The list is in a column and there are thousands of names. TIA for your help!

Hi Group, seems like it should be basic format, but I just can not get it to work. a list of data and want to alternate shade (blue, white, blue, etc) each line but if I have multiple lines I want to group together and they all shade the same. I want to group by the same data in column A, and the number of rows that are the same could vary. So let’s say row 1& 2 same entry in column A(blue) row 3 different (white) row 4,5,6 same as each other different to other rows (blue) etc… help 🙏
