What’s the growth trajectory like in tech? Have a great offer from non-faang listed tech (director level) but worried about stagnation compared to MBB progression

You’re also building a name for yourself in an industry with a lot of long-term strength, and opening yourself up to bigger/better roles later. It’s a small world, and a good ecosystem to become a part of.

Growth is slow. You ride high on the equity train. You hope VC/monetary policy continues the free money pump. Once it's gone, you're stuck holding useless RSUs. Of course dotcom bubbles never burst

Small world part is true of all industries. And every new tech company is trying to hire tried and true talent. The only ones hiring no experience and using network are the ones without money.

What are the ultimate consulting exit apps (I.e? specific role/team & industry) for the non-technical consultants? Looking to understand the exit opps available that: 1. Pay in line with MBB or exceeds (YOY raise is also in line with career and pay progression at MBB) 2. Have reasonable hours, at most 9-7 so I can pick up some hobbies and have a personal life 3. Have great global brand/prestige that will make me as desirable exiting consulting now vs exiting that company in the future

After your first job, how relevant is GPA. For context, I went to a school that is very well known for grade deflation (Deloitte had a “suggested” minimum of 3.2 here) and I studied statistics, a particularly rough major at the school. Long story short, GPA was between a 2.9 and 3.0. This wasn’t due to slacking and I’ve done well at Deloitte so far with plenty of experience to speak to. Would my GPA still block me from certain firms, like any of the MBB firms or a Tier 2 consulting firm?

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

Do you think it’s better to go to immediately go a firm that’s beyond your skillset or work your way up to that firm? For example, going to a T2 firm as an experienced hire having never done consulting without or starting at a smaller consulting firm and then going to T2/MBB?

Would anyone that has moved from Big 4 to MBB be willing to chat for 15-30 minutes? I’m hitting a point where I am enjoying consulting (advisory) but I’m not sure the idea of narrowing in on a specific industry and exact skillset appeals to me. Seems like MBB is broader and I’m curious (also not assuming I could even get in, but I want to explore the option).

Feeling like my firm has a very outdated parental leave policy (and none of the women partners have children)! What is the parental leave policy at your firm? Please include: (1) size of firm; (2) location of firm (city, state); (3) how many paid weeks off from firm (not state/fed benefits); (4) other policies such as ramp up/down time, etc.

It's an amazing place, high rise, 20th floor, large balcony, floor to ceiling windows, loft style in the middle of the nicest part in Dallas 🥰😍 1) would my application even get approved due to my income? 2) is this too much? I just quit watching the Olympics 2day :( I've been following since Athens 2004 and I started liking some not so common sports like fencing and taekwondo (started trying fencing but covid hit, sadly - been out ever since). But I really loved surf, since Kevin Slatter - I never had the talent to it, but still try sometimes LOL. But the match fixing today btw Medina and Igarashi was ABSURD - real shame. What a frustration - took out all my excitement.
