Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Didn’t even consider big3 out of mba. Everyone there I met seemed like entitled dbags and if that was the face they were putting forward for recruiting... I just figure the experience just wouldn’t be a match for me
That’s like saying how do you convince someone to have an apple or an orange. Totally different work, style, culture and experience. Strategy consulting and operations are not the same...
Never seen it at jr levels. Have seen it as partner level due to getting to run a business at b4 or better lifestyle
For non-strategy consulting. I convinced myself..an experienced hire changing career post MBA. Might seem wrong choice to some but I made that choice 5 years ago and have been very happy.
Good for you KPMG! Risky move to make but glad it worked out. U probably left bunch of $$ on table over 5 years but money ain’t everything...
@EY2 I genuinely enjoyed meeting people from MBB when recruiting. Guess personality styles differ but I've been very happy
There’s plenty of strategy work at EY...not everything is ops
At the partner level you’re making so much cash at either, it should come down to what work do you like better (everyone on here harps on strategy, however, ops can also be great), what brand do you like better, what work/life balance do you like better, and most importantly, what people culture do you like better.
OP, coming from industry and new to consulting, I felt more comfortable with engagements closer to execution than pure strategy. Within Big4, there was option of moving to a different group if needed.
@P1, yes, did leave more $ on the table. However at that time, I wanted to succeed as a consultant...knew $ would follow.
Now, with experience, I would pick MBB over Big4.
What specifically allowed you to convince yourself that B4 was the right choice?
Fair point.
Market opps. In federal MBB aren’t active enough in my opinion to jump ship
