@Freelance1 were you at SCDP?
A couple years ago at the first agency I ever worked at, I found out an 8 year-old was killed in the restaurant below our floor (which is now a Melting Pot??) He was a worker’s little brother and they put him in a trash can filled with ice water for like an hour and he died of hypothermia. This was in 2007 or something? No one at my work even knew but whenever I was working late alone I would get the chills 😱 Never saw anything though...
Our office has timed lights to save energy after “work hours.” When I’m there late they shut off in a wave coming toward me like BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. I don’t think it’s a spirit, but it’s definitely unsettling.
I'm just gonna step in as captain buzzkill here:
The spookiest thing I've seen at any agency is when the floors go from 12 to 14, because a significant portion of the population is afraid of the number 13.
An AE hung himself in the office and his body wasn’t found until a Monday morning when people started filing in for the day. This happened before I started and what makes it especially weird is people get VERY jumpy, almost to the point of anger if it’s even hinted about. Makes it feel like there’s a bigger story there
Roaches
I worked at Zimmerman and at their studio, we would hear ghostly footsteps, doors banging, lights turning on and off
@freelance (former r/ga) No! Shit. Does this kinda thing happen often??
Wait. I just realized that was a Mad Men joke. My thing was very real and involved a very real dead man
Most of those mad men stories (including Lane’s suicide) were based off real stories. However I’m pretty sure I read the Lane one was from quite a while ago.
MARC in Chicago is in that building where they stored the bodies from that ship that sank. I’ve heard of frigid passing chills
One of our offices is in an old military building from the 1890s. People report hearing footsteps, doors closing, etc. I’ve been lucky enough to miss it so far 😳
