Pr1 ~$350k
Pr2 ~$380k
Partner 1 ~$450k
Partner 2 ~$480k
That’s for on target and includes retirement contribution. Add c.$90k (principal) / c.$130k (partner) for top bucket
I’d bump Pt1 numbers up a smidge. Pt 2 by a lot more
I feel a little foolish asking but the impression I've gotten from other threads is that MBB partner pay is way higher than that. Is there a typical YOE (incl. MBA) for partner 1, and is the next level up a significant bump?
The partner above isn’t an equity partner. That is managing director & partner. They adjusted these titles about three years ago
When I was interviewing I was informed of 236 base and target bonus of 30%. This may be on the lower threshold as I have read of many pulling in 400 with higher bonus.
That is about right for on target as c.10% of my numbers above is from retirement
Thanks C1 - how much of ~380k is base?
Pr1 base is 236 and Pr2 is 243
If one is coming from a higher base, how does BCG match to make the offer attractive?
Yep, and slight chance of getting tenure credit and possibly coming in as Pr2, but not easy or even recommended in many cases
Partner at BCG is a non-equity partner. Equity partners are called Managing Directors & Partners.
There is no band or location specific salary. Everything is the same for everyone. All principals make the same base regardless of location. They only thing that differs is your bonus.
First year MDP is right around $1M. Grows incrementally for a few years and then really accelerates when you hit level 3.
