Yes, if a team wants you badly enough, both teams can agree to waive the 18month rule.
Thank you guys so much. I was hard-sold a role less than a year ago and I want to get out. Another team is interested in me so meeting them to discuss. Thought I'd still have to wait 18months but hopefully it works out.
It's def possible. I made a move <18 months- all depends on how much your new team wants/pushes for you

Can someone explain what "18 months in a role" policy is at Morgan?
It’s a policy for transitioning within the company, they don’t want you to transition until you’ve been in your current role for 18 months.
