Best damn fajitas you’ll eat here!
Kata Robata is the best sushi my spouse and I have ever had, and we’re ex-New Yorkers that have also eaten sushi in Tokyo, Seoul, Jeju, Hawaii, and LA. Kata tops that list, shockingly. UChi is great too, but in a more experimental modern way, whereas Kata is just straight up high class traditional.
For non-sushi, Coltivare is also amazing.
Agreed with Kata Robata
I see some posts from Team BCN but not Team MAD. BCN > MAD?

BCN is soooooo good. Another close favorite of mine. That was one of the first dates my fiance and I ever went on. Such good memories.
Killen’s Steakhouse
I have not been there but this is on my list. I have had sooooo many of my friends and coworkers tell me how good it is. I need to make time to get over there.

Vietnamese food hands down! My favorite pho is from Pho Ben or Pho Dien. Anything in Chinatown; Oishii for sushi; Tiny Champions for great food (mostly known for pizza), vibes and cocktails; Pappasitos for fajitas, Laredo for tacos. Anyway, you can’t make your way through ALL the best spots in Houston bc there are too many to mention. The food game here is insane.
I used to live near Laredo and miss walking there for breakfast tacos. Or any tacos anytime! So good
Hugo’s
Don’t see a lot of comments about Whataburger. Not a fan of their burgers, but any breakfast item is a winner. Honey butter chicken biscuit or chicken tenders with gravy. 🤌🏽
Sushi Jin at Memorial and Dairy Ashford
What side of Houston?
Velvet Taco, Star Pizza, Mico’s Hot Chicken are nice lunch spots.
George’s Pastaria is a nice mom and pop restaurant.
Bistro 555 is a great unique date night option.
