They are under Accenture umbrella but run as an entirely different entity. They have their own business book, they manage their own resource pool.
I am part of a huge implementation where most of the team are Avanade folks. I manage the delivery so I can tell you their compensation is very comparable, if not better in some cases, to Accenture technology resources. They have niche skill sets, and they are getting paid pretty good bucks for it. So I am not sure what these others folks are taking about.
Good team to be part of, they take care of their own. Just make sure they don’t staff you for a role that doesn’t align with your skill set (only bad thing I saw).
All I can say is the compensation offered to me was not competitive at all.
I remember talking to them out of undergrad and they were offering something ridiculous like 58k for NYC.
They ghosted me after going through 3 interviews with them. Honestly wouldn't want to work for an org that can't respect people's time to follow up. (They reached out I never applied)
They're kind of not really Accenture employees either. You see a few of them in the office, but it's very segregated
The CEO now reports to Accenture's Microsoft Business org. They won't be separate much longer.
Not necessarily true.
I made the move from Accenture to Avanade. Really depends on your team. Avanade is more flexible from what I’ve seen. Benefits are similar but not quite as good as Accenture. They will let you negotiate though if they really want you. I’m really enjoying it at Avanade but again, really depends on your role. I also loved Accenture for the most part.
I think the outlook is very good for them. Also, there are many ex Accenture folks like myself there. There are a few ex Microsoft. The culture is similar to Accenture’s but a bit more techy. I like both culture but again depends on your team.
