When applying for a new role, how do your companies “level out” the difference in years of working at a competitor vs climbing up the ranks? Are all years of consulting experience seen as “equal”?

If I need to wait two years to make consultant at D I would just stay at Accenture and apply to a consultant role once I qualify.
