Hello 🎏 .. I recently got selected in Amazon for L4 position in Bangalore location for the role HR Specialist US ..my recruiter said i can expect a CTC of 7.7lpa and my current CTC is 4.75lpa..he requested for my salary slips nd other things to give me the exact num..Please advise how much I can negotiate here .I am looking for more than 11-12lpa minimum .. i have total 4 Yoe and currently in Chennai but if they ask me to wfo i dont think the mentioned pay will be sufficient. Amazon India

I used to work at your current employer and that was my experience. I wouldn’t be surprised this is more of a cultural issue that’s been left unchecked.
It takes a change in culture which can be implemented by a new CEO, but it doesn’t need to go that high up. The head of claims can spearhead that change if he/she wishes
I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve had some of the worst people as managers over the years. It impacts more than just the work. You physically and mentally have side effects.
But why is this allowed? And why do people put up with it? There are definitely folks that should never be given a position in leadership - until they have been fully vetted for star qualities of a leader: effective and interactive communication, support vs threats, genuine interest in team member(s) growth and goals.

That sounds awful. You should try to talk to someone in your organization about transferring to another department or another manager. If the problem is as widespread as it sounds, people in management should hear about it and take action. It's just unacceptable to be treating employees like that.
I had a manager for a few years that left me in tears multiple times a week. I finally told a few influential people in the department that I needed a new manager and I got one. No more crying spells!
