I think Canvas took the holiday today
I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

Some of my best hires came from schools many people would scoff at. Not everyone has the opportunity to get into a great school through no fault of their own, but that doesn't mean they can't be just as good (or better) at their job.
I agree with this. I'm trying to recognize my bias when looking at resumes. There is no denying sometimes that a particular school will mostly produce quality candidates, but I don't let that factor be the end all be all.
My main concern is always writing talent, and you needn't have gone to a good school for that. If you're dedicated and worked at the college newspaper at a state school that says something. But we also need people who have a good general knowledge of the world and can network with people, and those are skills that tend to rely on a good liberal arts education.
Agree on the writing talent. I'd definitely interview a candidate with solid experience too before picking someone from a top school with none.
I’m with Director 1 on this. Some of my best teammates have come from unranked schools (and FWIW - I had a client once that attended all Ivy leagues and was horrible at their job). To me, their experience (even internships, jobs while in college) is more important and shows they can juggle multiple things at once
Also, some smaller schools have much better comms/marketing/PR programs than the top colleges - so I’d recommend looking at that too if you’re considering their education!
