If you buy into a partnership. Do you also get sell when you leave.

No, my job as a partner is constantly to win new work and to develop the next leaders to pass that work to. By the time I retire, anything currently in my book of business should have a natural successor. And if it doesn’t, I’ll work 6-13 months out to transition.

They are clients of the Firm, not clients of Partner ABC.

Do you sell your former coworkers when you move to a new job?

They get their capital back. They don’t sell their book to anyone

No

I think they only sell their partnership share. The book of business will probably be allocated to other partners.

Think you are mistaking consulting with wealth management
