I can’t speak for everybody, but when I’m hiring, I don’t have time for games like “playing hard to get. “ My agency not following up immediately doesn’t necessarily mean I’m not interested. Just means I’m busy and HR is in their own little world. Follow up. Let me know you’re interested and put you back on my radar.
Yes 48 hours after if manger interview, 24 hours if screen interview with recruiter
yes, send individual thank yous to the people you spoke with and email the recruiter and be like “hey i had a great time chatting with X. if the role is still open, i’d be so excited to keep chatting”
you should definitely look interested, i’d assume that the other people who are vying for the job are doing all this stuff
Yes to everything you just suggested.
I was interviewing someplace for a role I was more than qualified for. Great interviews, chemistry, etc.
After 3-4 rounds of interviews over Thanksgiving thru NYE, the talent aq person called me to let me know I didn’t get it (and why: the other final candidate had more experience in the vertical than I did ) but promised when another position there opened up, I’d be her 1st call. She was true to her word and after 1 week of interviews with a whole other team, I accepted my current role there.
Yes, follow-up. I didn’t hear back after a week after my first round interview before following up. Then again didn’t hear back for over a week after my second round interview. Each time I received positive feedback from HR right after the interview, but then nothing. I got the job. They were just slow on internal processes.
Yea, but remember It’s memorial weekend. They might have interviewed everyone to get them in. Give it until Tuesday unfortunately. After you’ve sent your thank you etc.
Nothing to lose. TtKeep letter short try to impress and be memirable. No mistakes in spelling like I did in the previous sentence
Always follow up…never know what future holds
