Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Anyone at Google open to networking? My new role (haven’t started yet) is senior and I want to start building my network in advance so I don’t feel so lost and alone at such a big company when I join!! I love getting to know people! If you’re open to getting to know a Noogler and be part of my network/support system, I’d really love to chat and learn about you/what you do/where your group fits into the big picture. Google DM me :) 🙏🏻

Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Never decline an offer until you have the offer you are taking in hand. I'd keep going with both until the company you want finalizes things. I have seen companies go back on their word with verbal offers - it's in writing or it doesn't exist.
So you’re asking if you should decline an offer you don’t have to accept a different offer you also don’t have? Yeah, no, you wait… The only way you’ll burn bridges is if you accept an offer and then renege. Even then, I doubt they’ll remember.
Wait till you get both offers to decide. If you get one and there is a time constraint, tell them you need some more time to decide. If they really want you, they’ll give your more time.
You never turn down an offer until you have received the offer you want.
Maybe if you were getting pressure form job1 to accept/reject, but definitely not before you have even received a written offer
When you have both offers in hand, gracefully turn down your second choice and share (at a high level) your rationale, while being very grateful for their time and consideration. Share in a manner to leave the door open should that be a possibility for you if you have fewer options.
Company 1 is likely giving me the written offer after one last chat with the hiring manager. Pays more and will also be a lot more stressful, from what I’ve taken away from my interviews. And a few other red flags have popped up during these interviews.
Do I tell hiring manager during my final check in? Do I wait til I get both offers in writing and once a decision is made then I disclose? I don’t want to burn bridges with company 1.
