I'm into Salesforce with 6.2yrs of experience working as a Sr. Developer having the current CTC as 14lpa. And got an offer from Mindtree for the same Sr. Developer position(C3- Module Lead), as Lead position requires minimum 7yrs of experience. They offered me a package of 19.2lpa. Is this worthy? Please suggest how much can I expect from them? Also how is the hike cycle in Mindtree ? Mindtree

I’m not a hiring manager, but this is what I’ve always done as a creative.
This is appropriate behavior for an applicant, for someone looking for a job and needing to cut through the BS of the recruiting process that is so demoralizing these days. Have a heart.

Im usually happy when this happens. Seems like a pretty good coincidence.
I did it a few times this year and got nothing in response. I even followed up. I personalized the emails.
It’s just disheartening to get silence in return. Of course I realize I’m not entitled to a response to a cold (not that cold—they’re hiring after all) email. I just wish they’d say something.
Don’t hit up recruiters. Hit up employees that have a common denominator with you. College, hometown, sports team, place of employment, and go from there! I have gotten in more doors that way than hitting up recruiters straight up. LinkedIn is my way in usually.
If they’re great for the job then awesome. But I also meet a lot of great people I wish I could hire - more than I ever can. So I’m excited to bring them in when I have a chance. There’s a lot to be said for meeting with people you want to work for and being patient even when they don’t have a role.
I’m mixed (ultimately neutral) on this. It’s not necessarily that I never want to get cold emails, but my recruiters are actually pretty good at screening candidates, and sometimes these emails make me feel like someone is assuming the recruiter sucks and escalating to me. Or it comes across like they read “one weird trick for getting noticed by hiring managers” and they think they’re going to like… trick me into thinking they’re a stronger candidate than they are? It’s complicated. I don’t think doing this is inherently bad, it’s just easy to get wrong.
