Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Most firms are going to transition towards unlimited PTO. In normal times there is significant seasonal turnover combined with an industry norm where PTO is generally discouraged.
Combine those two and you have significant payouts on a seasonal basis that firms are going to eventually eliminate.
At first, I was very skeptical about going into unlimited PTO, but now I really appreciate our firm moving to unlimited PTO. No pressure about taking time off when I want/need to.
Yeah I will never join a company with that unlimited PTO bs. We all know what that means now.
If you are smart- whenever you are ready to quit- instead of putting in your two weeks just take indefinite leave
I have my ideas but wanted to hear yours

Yup. It's only good for the firm's financials. Win situation for the firm, not a benefit for the employee.
ey hasn’t gone to unlimited PTO but now PTO payouts are disallowed.
KPMG went from 5 weeks to 4 in the past year. Our accrual max is 50% of annual balance so they were able to cut the liability down at year end too.
Sorry homie, but you now you got the more powerful PTFO on your side.
