Hello Pals - I have 8+ years of exp as business analyst, and consultant. No coding experience, but good in data & reporting. Planning to take a course from Learnbay after reading a lot of reviews in the internet. I just can’t figure out why I’m not able to get any jobs. If you want to stem teacher not you want somebody with a science elementary Ed masters degree?

So I’m planning on leaving my position before school starts, but the application and interview process has been slow. At this point I’m afraid I won’t find a job until late July. Should I let my school now and let them post my job as an anticipated position? I’d hate for them to have to find someone last minute, but I also want to keep that school as a fall back just in case. Unfortunately, it’s a terrible position and there has not been a lot of interest in it in the past.

Someone I know just finished an executive education program at Wharton that cost $70k… no letters after his name now, just a certificate. These programs seem like the height of grifting to me. or is even a certificate from a top-tier business school really worth that much?

I feel like when I see a top-tier school on a profile and they didn’t get a degree there it feels like they’re being misleading somehow. Am I missing the value of these programs?

How many people earn a degree in Engineering but don’t pursue a career in it,for whatever reason?I know at least one and I don’t know why they spent all that time and money if they weren’t going continue in it

Feel like I’ve come to a point in my consulting career where I’ve reached the end of what this job can provide me, career-wise and as an opportunity for personal/professional development. Hey guys, I just found this group and I’m hoping for some guidance/advice! I’m hoping to get into one of the Big 4s or MBB and finally got a few referrals once joining FB. Is B school a good idea as a software engineer?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?
