My fiancée almost lost her life to a medical emergency. The doctor needed me to stay home 2 weeks to supervise her post-operative care once the hospital discharged her. One professor removed me from a graded argument the week after I’d return. When I asked about this error, he had said “I had planned on your failure to appear” and that he preplanned giving me a 0 grade.
