I'm a manager at EY 5 YOE in their SAP practice. I'm not very technical at SAP since my main focus is on business process integration, testing and PMO.
A recruiter from BCG Platinion reached out for an opportunity to join their enterprise solutions chapter and said that I will be doing 2 case interviews.
Anyone here have any experience with what sort of questions/cases they will ask and how technical in nature they are? I don't have the technical knowledge to say "I would look at table X" etc
If you're free then flex. If you're not, then let them know. Good either way. ETA this is a good thing from your end as they're probably adding higher level decision makers to the call.
Definitely the positive perspective I needed haha
I just felt kind of blindsided, and didn’t feel comfortable saying “no”. Appreciate the energy 😊
The last minute-ness to it is also a test of your ability to perform with min prep and that you care enough about the company to make extra time/drop things to be available
The third interviewer was also surprised and had no time to prep based off my resume (told one hour before) - I get your point for me, but I feel like the interviewer should’ve had some notice at least!
Maybe more than one team is considering bringing you on and they just want to determine the best fit.
Recruiting is a bit of a cluster right now. Immense pressure to hire any warm body (no offense OP), and so recruiters are often scheduling 30 min calls before the hiring manager can provide input on who should be included. It’s more a failure of the recruitment team and communication than anything else.
That’s a good thing and common as they set the events for one day per week for all hiring managers. That means you are wanted, so maybe be happy about it.
