100% agree with this! I don’t think a benefit should depend on the person. I was told that it’s a “benefit” because it can help some people in their financial situation. I don’t think it should be classified as a legit benefit unless if it works the same for everyone.
"That is often a predatory practice." There's your answer. Companies can be predatory. I'd imagine the ones touting this as a "benefit" absolutely fit the bill. Reimbursement is a great benefit. Refinancing is not.
