ACD1 is correct. Many are either posted to make the agency look like they’re doing well, or purposely left up after they’ve already hired a candidate for the same reason.

Yep, my reply was about them especially :(
New York is about to pass a law where these kinds of fake perpetual job ads are illegal unless they intend to actually fill the job in 90 days or note in big bold letters that it’s just to collect resumes.
The law also applies to the websites, too. So LinkedIn can get fined simply by allowing it. It hasn’t been signed by the governor yet but it passed the state senate.

It definitely shows you how important they think the role is if it can sit unfilled for 6 months.
There’s been so many times that my agency has said they’re hiring and then there’s some sort of delays from the holding co. So it might be that.
