Garbage imo
It looks friendly. It comes with funny gif plugins. It's got custom emojis. It has webhooks to control your devops, and you can roll out custom bots. It doesn't try to control you, with a 30 minute away timer your company can't mess with to micromanage. Slack screams tech startup culture. It's spammy, but it's got your back to help you get your work done and have a good time doing it.
Teams on the other hand looks like Skype. Nothing friendly or pleasant about it. It's like using email. Boo. And it snitches on you walking to the kitchen or bathroom, hovering like a manager who should've been fired a week in.

Have you tried using Microsoft Teams?

"Slack" is a pretty cool name, that's all I got on it though.
Probably cause of its name.
good branding. also people tend to send memes more on slack for some reason.
