I have received offer from Qualcomm. They haven't mentioned about relocation bonus or accommodation in the offer letter. I have tried reaching the hr since the next day of hr round but they haven't responded to my calls or mails. Any advice on how to get accommodation and relocation bonus. Or is it not possible anymore? FYI I'm in city x and the offered position is in city y of another state.
Update :
After several follow ups Hr have agreed they will give the relocation bonus and reimbursement

Only relevant for McK, who actually has an Ops vertical. For us, it's a practice area like CPG or Strategy. Most of us are generalists that can cover all of that territory.
They like us to work in multiple industries and functions for a while-- most don't start to specialize until they are a PL (manager), which is 2 years out of business school. And generally people specialize in industry first, not function.
By the time someone makes partner, they also likely have a couple functional specialities. But specializing by industry creates an ability to build strong relationships at the same client/be their advisor to develop and lead work across the board.
For McK - post MBA starting salaries is same for Ops, Generalist and Digital.

Thanks BCG2. Do consultants remain in a single practice or often roam around, for example between strategy and operations?
Interesting to know, and different from D S&O, as we mostly specialize in functions (strategy or finance or supply chain, etc.). Also, salaries tend to be on the higher end of the bracket for Monitor, while the rest of S&O is closer to the middle.

Post MBA starting comp is roughly the same for all of us (barring D and A tuition benefit). Not the best metric to compare.
