Why, just why do clients think it's okay to stuff their files with JPEGs and Excel sheets that should have been converted to PDFs? It's like they want us to hate working on their file even before we've seen what it's got. Do you retaliate when you get files like this and ask your client to come back with a more organised, workable file or just suck it up and deal with it?

My client’s site got hacked yesterday. I didn’t see any actual signs of impending attack. But knowing how little we do for cyber security when building a site, I knew we must have been vulnerable in some way. I’ve tried pushing for more cybersecurity measures in the last year, but being a Jr, I don’t know a lot about it. My manager had brushed it off as something that would be nice to look into if [insert excuses not to here]. Can’t push it off any longer. I’m afraid heads are gonna roll.Advice?

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".
