Hi there, I had a question about 401k or Roth IRA. Should I put money into anyone of the two as an international student? I don’t see the point because I want to invest my money instead of saving it. I read a lot of posts here about difficult bosses, difficult clients, difficult partners, terrible briefs and terrible agencies. All that might be true. But it’s getting old. What I’d be interested in hearing about are the stories of how people have overcome the challenges. How did you sell that big idea? How did you fix a relationship? The world is not going to get easier. So maybe we can help each other get better at dealing with it. Who had a win recently? How did you do it?

Does anyone work at an agency that has a different structure for teams and departments than the typical layers of account teams, strategists, creatives, etc? Curious if there’s anything inventive.

It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
