Normally won't be able to enter Big 4 and get promoted, unless you're coming from another Big 4. In fact it's more likely you come in at the same level and lose credit for a year.
No
No but you will most likely get a pay bump which is better than the title. Title will follow if you perform strong within a couple of years, I’d rather take the money.
I jumped to SM from M but both big 4
No chance
Nope. You will need to prove that you can operate at your current level at a Big 4 before they will promote you. We know exactly how demanding Big 4 is. Promoting you on day 1 would be cruel.
Yes
Life isn’t all about titles. Jumping to that position at Big 4 is putting yourself in a position to fail…you have no brand there, you’ll likely get the worst engagements and frankly, you may not be ready for it. Give yourself some time to establish yourself may be better long term.
Thank you, I’m definitely nervous. Have you worked at big 4 as a SM? Was it worth it?
I would say they likely will bring you in as a manager…and if you can knock it out the park fast get early promo to SM.
Does anyone know if they’d consider hiring an external senior internal auditor as a manager who previously left Big 4 as a senior for industry? Or same deal?
My guess is that it’s highly unlikely but I’m in tax so I’ll defer to someone in audit.
