Will big4 or big accounting firms give me a chance now that I have CPA and MS in tax? I have just recently started my career in PA. 2 years at tax in a small firm in CO, and 3rd year now working at even much smaller firm in KS. I am frustrated because they don’t a proper training and resources to help me succeed, e.g. my boss would not get me log in to tax research tool. I am using google ;-(. I was told I could work from home, came to find out only 50% true - server is a cable at work :((.

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

Newish to data analytics. Have some experience in power BI, sql, and R. I wanted to get some exposure to aws and saw the AWS cloud practitioner as an available course at my job.
