Will firms do anything to address the increased burnout burden of less traveling and more wfh that will be the new normal?

Most consulting firms are presenting WFH as an added benefit to work-live balance. As in, no travel = more time with family, no commute, higher job satisfaction and win-win-win all around!

Remember way back in February when everyone was complaining about burnout due to all the travel?

What’re the various agencies/components’ return to office dates (if announced)? And what’re the remote work policies after that date? I hear DOJ said their individual components will decide when exactly to return between mid-March and early May and some are offering a lot of remote flexibility even after then. Curious to hear more details though, both for specific DOJ components and other agencies!

What is one of the most frustrating parts of being a scientist or researcher?

I'll tell you what it is: referencing!

You have to do so much of it, and it's so annoying. You have to cite your sources, but there are so many different formats for citations! And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows? And even then, they might not be sure whether it should be an in-text citation or a footnote…
