Should I or can I talk to my current manager about a raise while mentioning this unofficial offer? I don’t want to burn bridge with ex-boss by going through hr process to then decline if current firm matches

Hi everyone, does anyone know if it’s worth moving to the sales side and becoming a RM one day versus becoming a PM? The credit side can get a bit dulling, and I’ve heard the money is much better on the sales side. Any experiences here for anyone whose made the jump?

Went through 3 rounds of interviews for a fin.analyst role at a relatively big consulting company. After the superday, they rejected me by saying im overqualified, won’t be challenged enough. I think it’s total crap. Have an offer for an FA role at a small firm, that’s primary focused on L&H insurance in NYC but not too excited.. (graduating this week, Ugad finance). How do you usually deal with rejections or having to take the job you don’t like?
