How to manage up to a mAcromanager?

I deeply respect him—he is why I decided to stick with the company. I felt like I found my Gandalf/Yoda/Teacher. I appreciate his mngmnt style—lots of freedom and opportunity for discovery. But sometimes, it feels like he doesn’t care and gets exhausted by conversations around growth. I know when he is frustrated with my Qs cuz he’ll start giving my short answers. And that’s whenever I try to get objectives for a projects out of him. What do I do lol?

Partner sends out TY email for great teamwork on a large project. Senior forwards the email to myself and other staff. People who put most amount of hours were excluded from Partner's email. Cont.

My manager nominated me for judging a small programme happing virtually with two other head of the Department, but when I joined the programme someone from office outside was included for that with director and those two HODs were also not there... I prepared my speech, well dressed up but when hosts announce the name of judges I felt bad... he could have atleast informed me... everytime he does the same kind of thing and than says in corporate sector types of politics happens...
