I'm giving up on working remotely at this point, but I am actively looking to move. Right now I'm early enough in my career that it's not a massive dealbreaker to be remote so might as well pick the best opps
Thanks for sharing! Don't give up!
Up to you! I'm full time remote in consulting now, don't think I could go back to in person or hybrid haha
I heard good things about working remotely! I wouldn't want to return once I start working remotely, either.
First, look at the remote option. Then you can reassess it with more flexibility on your hands.
You should assess the situation and weigh the pros and the cons of moving out of State or staying and doing a fully remote job. Don't rush into it and just make a deliberate decision.
Yes, I have also encountered many engineers interested in remote work, especially with the shift to remote work due to the pandemic. It's also helpful to communicate the benefits of remote work, such as increased productivity and better work-life balance.
I have no problem hiring remote engineers as long as they have the skills and experience needed for the role. It's important to set expectations and communicate regularly to ensure everyone is on the same page. It can be challenging to manage remote employees, but with the right tools and communication, it can be a successful arrangement.
