Assuming pay is the same Id stay. Rebuilding your brand is a pain and if you already have a faster trajectory leaving doesn't make much sense to me. OW has a great brand in FS and a good brand overall.
How long have you been at OW? Always need to consider how built up your network is and if it’s worth it to start fresh at a new firm
Not to B or B.
I would recommend getting involved with multiple LOPs with OW and try to understand if you are losing “the most interesting projects” to McK. If you find that you are, then it’s probably worth pursuing further
^i suspect you are getting your fair share of interesting protects. I know some ex-OW FS strategy partners and they seemed to be doing interesting stuff when they were at the firm (they left to take industry CSO roles).
I have yet to find a firm where interesting work is not available if you work on finding it. I'm not saying Big4 do the same quality of work or have the same mix of work as MBB but they definitely win interesting work on a regular basis. The same has to be true at OW.
Same base? Or same all-in comp including bonuses?
To be honest, I think only McK FS compares with OW FS. What are your long term goals?
FS clients broadly or PE/HF clients?
Been at OW for ~2 years (experienced hire), probably looking to do something on VC/PE or digital partnerships in the future. Any thoughts on B Capital and Digital Ventures?
I always suggest to reach out to some alumni working for those firms to have a clear an honest talk. If you feel like this would be of advantage for you sure consider the option - of not you are at least certain. Ever considered CFA then..? Seems like a good fit to you
