Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

I think that all depends on how much you are working currently and what your current salary is. For me, I couldn't take that big of a pay cut even if I wanted to because I wouldn't be able to pay my bills. I sure wish I could decrease my hours by 20 hours a week though.
I am thinking with the fact that I am single with no family responsibilities I would be OK with a 20% pay cut. temporarily of course.
How would the 20% pay cut impact your standard of living?
Not a big difference as I would be relocating from New York to Texas. My cost-of-living would go down.
Seems like a very good deal.
If you work a normal week, you get half of your time back for 20% cost.
Economically, it gets worse the more hours you currently work.
However, if you work 100h+ a week, then it would still be good to get 20h back of “life”, so you don’t get burnt.
That’s my thoughts exactly. I don’t typically work 100+ hours a week but definitely been there done that.
If you’re working 100 hours a week as someone said, it’s worth it. But also depends how much you’re making.
20% of $250K is worth it, 20% of $100K isn’t.
Yah agreed.
