In person will offer more learning opportunities. I've been 99% remote since I graduated in 2019, but I'm looking for a new job where I can travel and co-locate with teammates. I believe travel and going into an office are more difficult and less desirable, but are really good for people in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
I took my first job as a remote and it is harder than being in person but totally doable. You have to be more persistent about reaching out to try to help and learn than in person I think. Also I’d recommend if ever offered an opportunity to do anything in person to go with the remote job.
No remote or in person doesn't really matter. Questions I'd ask instead... Does the offer and work interest you? Does it set you up to gain skills and experience you need later on? Is the company culture and brand strong?
Then take it but be mindful and intentional about building connections and if possible meeting co workers downtown (if that's an option). Building friendships virtually is definitely possible and setting up 1:1s just to network is fine.
I’m talking more about from a social perspective. I want to work in person some days since I didn’t have the best college experience and want to meet new young people in my city.
