I tend to hear a lot about how having a "side gig" would hurt my chances at companies (did ya'll try paying us better so we don't need side hustles to get ahead??). Thoughts on this? I’m 27 and looking for advice. Aside from my 401k and HSA, I do not invest. Every paycheck goes straight into my bank account, and between living in a HCOL city and being underpaid by about $20k (I’m trying to find a new job, don’t worry), I feel like I’m way behind on my money goals.

Anyone else struggle to understand offshore resources sometimes?

I work with a team in India and communication has been hard. I’m fluent in Hindi and sometimes switch to Hindi so it’s easier but when non-Indians are in the meeting I obviously have to stick to English.

I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol

I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner.
