Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

This ‘schools in xyz are great’ is fake news if one’s kids are about to goto high school ..
Send your kids to private school
Some of us went to good high schools though…
No diversity in Southlake
I live next to Southlake in Trophy Club. Generally speaking I avoid downtown Dallas, I’ve lived in TX for 4 years and have been to downtown Dallas like 4x.
Traffic on 114 near Southlake backs up in pockets during rush hours in the morning and evening.
I would say it’s pretty low on the diversity scale, lots of white peeps.
The schools are good but most important factor is the kids your children associate with. Sports are highly competitive.
I really like where I live and feel like the location is great to go into Dallas or Fort Worth and also has tons of stuff to do within 15-20 minutes.
I live in Keller and drive through Southlake to Dallas once a week to get to the office. From Southlake to Dallas isn’t too bad. It’s way better than 75 and it has the toll lanes for when things are backed up.
From my experience the schools are better than the Dallas area because the communities are more involved and the teachers often live in the school boundaries themselves.
