Would you consider your marketing manager constantly trying to tag team with you on projects or brainstorming as a sign that you're the most favorable in their eyes? I'd have let it slide if it only happened once or twice, but it happens all the time. Would this be a good or bad time to ask if there are any opportunities for a promotion?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Where can we get those details to check the required and expected things to go the next level?
How many levels in Staff? What is the min YOE is required to be a Senior?
How many months/years minimum we need to spend to be eligible for promotion (ex: minimum 1 year a person need to spend on one grade like that)

I am on notice and LWD would be in Dec. Should I even be raising snapshots for coming mod year review? Am I expected to raise?

Do you get the feeling that there is a higher image promotion of women/minority people in Tech?I have seen way to many pictures from major tech companies that promote far more women/minorities than white males in their marketing materials.Wouldn't be better if we hired the best people no matter what the race/gender is?I know some companies are not publishing any gender/race stats but you cant't really demand a 50/50 ratio.Also there is no coincidence that most execs is some companies are British. So this goes both ways.

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Received an offer at 300k/year and a Google offer at 200k/year.
I wanted Google since I started the whole interview process, but I am now not sure given the salary difference.

The position at Google is more junior and the team is just being formed, which involves more risk. However, I like the team at the other company.
