Yes heck yes
It also depends on the relative pay increase. For example, is it like 100K to 200K or like 2M to 2.1M? The first one would be a definite yes, the second would probably be a no. The percentage increase matters more in my opinion than just the flat value increase.
I would move across the country for that. As long as cost of living didn’t eat most of that up. Going from Country Kansas to NYC for $100k increase isn’t worth it.
Depends of course
Where n the cost of living, safety of location and is it in the best interest of my family or if single me
Best of Luck☮️
Coach
I moved 2k miles away for $30k more lol.
Mentor
I did. The company I got an offer at was not offering the position as fully remote.
This cannot be a serious question.
Some people already *commute* 100 miles for a job that might not even pay $100k.
It truly depends on priorities. If you have to be away most of the time from your wife and kids because of the distance, a $100k might not be worth it. If you can uproot your family there, then it might be worth it.
That’s not even a state away depending on where you live
depends lbut most likely yes
Where are you moving to and what’s the job?
Would you still (be able to) stay in the area if you lose the job?
Is the new location safe/liveable/expensive?
Do you have obligations at home that would require frequent travel back?
Gotcha! Thank you for adding those details.
Would definitely recommend taking the job then, especially with your kids being older and more independent.
Could you do a weekend commute? Rent a small apt near work in LA to reduce work week travel and then go home to San Diego on the weekend.
Once the kids are off to college in a couple of years, you can fully move to LA if you so desire.
Yes?
100 miles is not a lot at all
Absolutely
Yes
It depends on a lot of factors. Does 100miles change your lifestyle? Do you live in a metropolitan city and this sends you to a rural area? Or other way around? Do you have a strong support system (friends, relatives, therapist) that you would distance from with the move? Does the cost of living changes makes it worth it? I’ve moved cross country for less than that. But right now I wouldn’t because my personal circumstances have changed and I really need the support system that I have here.
yes I would
Yes
Most people don't even have $100k total... So yeah
I wish I could .
Yup
Yep
In a heartbeat!
