Wow, what do we think about this? I haven't done any research, but it seems like there is a big push to let the states take greater control over education in their respective state. How will this impact us? Will it cut down on the bureaucracy or make things worse for students?

It's likely to have a lot of unanticipated consequences. It's being sold to the conservative base as making the schools "less woke." But it's got nothing to do with curriculum, it will just mean money will be cut. The taxpayers in New York and California and other prosperous states will no longer be subsidizing schools in Alabama and Mississippi and other poor states. And special education will probably take a huge hit. The money for disability programs will likely be cut to nothing. There will be lots of consequences that people aren't really considering.

Very interesting points! I need to do more research and I'm sure he can't just get rid of it with the stroke of a pen, but we definitely live in some interesting times.
